CIRTA has proudly concluded its first-ever Jamboree, a significant milestone under the organization's new framework. Orchestrated by Stacy Robertson, Director of CIRTA Volleyball Training, the event underscored CIRTA's commitment to rigorously preparing officials for the upcoming high school volleyball season.
The Jamboree kicked off on August 16, 2024, at Vista Del Lago High School and the Folsom Sports Complex, continuing through to Saturday. The majority of pre-season matches took place across several venues, including El Dorado High School, OMNI Volleyball, and the initial locations.
This event was particularly beneficial for first-year officials, who received targeted feedback from esteemed mentors. These insights were not only invaluable for the novices but also allowed mentors and assigners to evaluate the new officials' potential roles in future assignments.
Bob Reeve, Charlie Henderson, Larry Harris, James Fanshier, Greg Krause and Jim Cooley kicked things off as Mentors at Vista Del Lago on Friday.
On Saturday, Herschel Henderson, Donald Takeuchi, Nick Woodrum and James Fanshier, Gene Bondy, John Stockett, Terry Stafford and Randy Santee continue the mentorship.
Thank you to all the Mentors for your feedback and leading the way for the upcoming and newer officials.
Looking forward, the participants and organizers are gearing up for the Foundation games. We extend our best wishes to all involved for a successful and rewarding season ahead.
